Transparency in Coverage Rule
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Department of Labor, and Department of the Treasury have released guidance under the Transparency in Coverage rules that will take effect on July 1, 2022.
The rules provide plan participants with the critical information necessary to make informed decisions about their health care needs. Plan participants will be able to see the costs for services provided by in-network providers and the allowed amounts paid from out-of-network providers.
